Christmas Candies

So I have a week vacation and thought that now is a good time to get a jump on my Christmas baking and Christmas gifts and etc...
So yesterday 11/13/2017- I made
Candy Bar Pretzel bites.

My mom shared it on Facebook and it looked fun and easy so thought I might give it a try and by mid morning I felt fairly successful on my way to baking!
Bite sized candies and found that you can cut the fun sized ones in half and they work just a beautifully~
Layer pretzel and place candies on top.  Then bake in oven at 200 degrees for 5 minutes or until melted then place other pretzels to sandwich chocolate.

Dipped in melted white chocolate and sprinkled with red and green sprinkles.  Found that the Snickers don't squash well but do work. and they look very festive.

Here's the recipe and thanks to The Gunny Sack for the recipe!

Candy Bar Pretzel Bites
Course: Dessert

AuthorThe Gunny Sack
Ingredients
  • Mini candy bars
  • Pretzels rectangle or mini
  • Vanilla Candy Coating
  • Red Sprinkles
Instructions
  1. Line a baking sheet with a silicone mat or parchment paper. Top with as many rectangular pretzels as you have mini candy bars. I put down 30 pretzels.
  2. Unwrap the mini candy bars and place them on the pretzels.
  3. Warm in the oven at 300 degrees for about 3 minutes.
  4. Top with more pretzels and press down gently.
  5. Allow the chocolate to harden.
  6. Dip one side of the candy bar pretzel sandwich into melted vanilla candy coating.
  7. Return to the covered baking sheet and add red sprinkles.

Because I had figured I would have white chocolate leftover, I made some Club crackers and peanut butter, but alas-- I will have to dip them later.
